Organic Search

An organic search is one that returns web sites and pages based on how well they match the keyword or phrase entered into the search engine. The results returned are based on relevancy alone and not because of paid-for advertising.

Organic search, alternatively known as natural search, refers to unpaid search results. In contrast to paid search results (pay-per-click advertising), which are populated via an auction system, organic search results are based on relevance to the user\’s search query, links and domain authority as well as various other ranking elements organically. According to Google,  a no-cost listing on Google Search that appears because it\’s relevant to a person\’s search keywords is a organic search result.

Non-Organic search results are advertisements that are paid for.
The ads that appear above organic results have the \”Ad\” box.
The ads on left of the organic result are the \”Ads\” box above them.
Examining organic search results can often aid in identifying new keywords to use in you Google Ads campaigns.
